Especially during the winter, it makes an excellent meal. After serving it, there’s a good chance it’ll become everyone’s favorite.
Here are the ingredients you’ll need to make this amazing dish.
- One 10.75-ounce can of condensed cream of mushroom soup (undiluted)
- 1 1/2 pounds of ground beef (80 percent fat works best)
- 1 cup of beef broth
- 1/2 cup onion (chopped)
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup fresh mushrooms (chopped)
- Dash of garlic salt
- Cooked white rice or egg noodles
- Fresh parsley (chopped fine)
Now comes the fun part of making this hamburger stroganoff recipe.
First, place the beef in a skillet and cook it on medium heat. While cooking, use a wooden spoon or spatula to break it into crumbles. In other words, you don’t want big chunks. You should cook the beef for six to eight minutes or until it’s no longer pink. Also, you’ll need to drain off the fat.
Next, add the chopped onion, as well as the garlic salt, to the cooked beef. This time, you’ll cook it for a minute or two until the onion becomes tender.
Add the flour and cook the meat for two to three minutes. In addition, be sure to stir it continuously.

Although this stroganoff is delicious, you can kick things up a notch. One option is to add chopped carrots during the cooking phase. Another is to add fresh peas during the last 10 minutes of the cooking time.
