The Hickory Point Golf Course is part of the Decatur Park District that was established in 1924. The course was designed by leading architect Larry Packard. Packard was responsible for creating golf courses that have been ranked among America’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses by Golf Digest. At Hickory Point, Packard created a course that would be enjoyable for both beginners and golfers with advanced skills. Golf Grill Rooms
You can golf all day at the Hickory Point Golf Course and enjoy the golf grill rooms’ deli-style menu options when you need a break. The Grill Rooms serve breakfast from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The breakfast menu has staples like eggs and toast as well as omelets and biscuits. During lunch hours, the Grill Rooms serve hamburgers, hot dogs, and deli sandwiches. They’re open until 5 P.M. so you don’t have to worry about bringing snacks or lunch if you intend to spend the whole day on the course.

Plan an Event at Hickory Point
Great golfing isn’t all that Hickory Point does well. Hickory Point is also a great venue for events and weddings. The banquet facility has a wonderful view of the golf course and there are two options for hosting an event. For large events, the banquet hall can seat up to 189 guests and rental packages include an event consultation and scaled floorplan, tables, chairs, and linens. The gorgeous pavilion area is even more accommodating. It can seat up to 200 of your friends, family, or collogues. Both options are great for weddings, corporate events, birthdays, or even family reunions.
