Do your little ones love art? There’s something that’s just so special about creativity and finding new ways to express it. But what your kids may not know is that people all over the world create art in different ways. If you want them to learn more about art and get a taste of other cultures in the meantime, you’ll definitely want to take them to the International Arts Camp at the Decatur Area Arts Council. They are going to learn so much at this camp, and they will have a blast while they are there. Get more details below, and get ready to sign your child up.
What You Need to Know
This camp will go on for a few days, so your little one will get the chance to really explore different types of art. It begins on Monday, July 8, and will run until Friday, July 12. All the classes are from 9:30 a.m. to noon, so your child will have more than enough time to learn about the different types of art for the whole week. If you are a member of the Decatur Area Arts Council, you’re in luck. Tickets will only cost $75 for you. On the other hand, if you aren’t a member, you should expect to pay $80. Either way, that’s a great price considering how much your child is going to learn. Oh, and keep in mind that this program is for kids, ages 6 and up.
Eastern European Art
Of course, learning about art from all over the entire world may be a bit of a struggle. After all, there are just so many different artistic traditions out there. That’s why this camp will focus on Eastern European art. The kids will learn about art from Poland, the Ukraine, Russia, Hungary, and more.

Plenty of Art Projects
Sure, it’s fun learning about where art comes from and how it’s made, but it may be even more fun to make it yourself. That’s just what your child will do in this class. After learning more about the international artistic traditions, the kids will get to experiment with making their own Eastern European-style art. How much fun is that?
Some art is just for looking at, and other types of art are more functional. For example, take the vehicles we sell here at Bob Brady Buick GMC in Forsyth, Illinois. The cars we sell are works of art, but they will also get you wherever you need to go. Come check out what we have in stock today.
