When you think of Christmas, many things probably come to mind. Decorations can certainly add to the magic of the season. You see them outside homes and inside on windows, mantels, tables, and walls. Materials You’ll Need
It only takes 20 to 30 minutes to make these Christmas ornaments. They are sphere-shaped and look good with any Christmas tree and with other ornaments, you may have. Here is what you will need:
- 12-inch-by-12-inch scrapbook paper (make sure to have one per ornament)
- Paper cutter
- Tape
- Hot glue and glue gun
- Twine
- Ribbon
- Scissors
Getting Started
Firstly, begin by cutting the 12-inch paper into strips. More specifically, you’ll need to cut out two 1-inch strips, four 1.25-inch strips, and two 1.5-inch strips. Then take the two 1-inch strips and set them aside. You will want to cut the 1.25-inch strips into two 8-inch strips and the two 1.5-inch strips into two 10-inch strips. You then need to tape them together.
Folding and Gluing
Afterward, fold each strip in an accordion fashion. However, you don’t have to worry about making each fold perfect or exactly like one another. Aim to make each fold about half an inch wide. Your next step is to glue the ends of each strip together.

Finishing Up
Thirdly, take the circle strip and bend it inward to form a medallion. You should then take the glue gun and put a drop of hot glue in the middle of the medallion. Hold it firmly for a few seconds so the glue can take hold and dry. Moreover, it can help to blow on it if you want the glue to dry even faster. You will do this for each medallion you have made. Hot glue each layer together; this will form a sphere. Then you will cut a piece of twine or ribbon and use hot glue to attach it to the top of the ornament. Tying a bow around the top provides a nice finishing touch. You can hang the ornaments anywhere on your tree. Or, you can set them on branches, strategically placing them however you see fit.
