Summer may be coming to an end, but there are a few sunny days left for you to enjoy before it is time to say goodbye to the water. We know how exciting lake days can be, making it really easy to forget all the essential lake day items to bring. Check out these eight must-have items to bring with you the next time you head to the lake!
Water
Water might not be on the top of your beverage list when you are on a boat. But, it is super important to stay hydrated when you’re in the sun all day. If you don’t like plain water, you can always pack sparkling water. Staying hydrated is always important when you are in the sun.
Snacks
Probably the most important thing to pack if you want to have a good day on the water. Packing your favorite snacks are a must, especially if you plan on staying for more than a few hours. Plus, who would ever say no to a yummy snack?
Sunscreen
We know forgetting to pack sunscreen happens. It is probably the worst feeling too. Always make sure to pack more than enough SPF. Make sure to reapply after swimming and drying off. No one wants a sunburn after a day in the sun.
Bug Spray
Bugs are such a nuisance. Bug spray will come in handy the next time you go on the water. You won’t have to worry about having those itchy bug bites after spending a fun day in the sun.
Cooler Full Of Ice
What is a lake day if you don’t have a cooler? We get it, sometimes choosing a cooler can be a tough decision. When choosing a cooler, make sure it is a size you can carry and store in your house. If it is just for you, you can get a smaller one rather than a larger 50-quart cooler.
Sunglasses
Sunglasses will always come in handy during a trip to the lake! Remember to take off your glasses and keep them somewhere safe and where you won’t forget them when you go swimming.
Towels
You can never have too many clean towels. You can use one towel to sit on and clean any spills, and one to dry off with.
